A
large population of the world is living without
medical facilities. According to a World Bank
report, half of the world's population is forced to
live without any basic medical facilities. Medical
facilities are so expensive that 100 million people
do not even have the economic capacity to afford
them there. Today the data has not been collected
that how many people die every year due to some
disease without treatment. But even according to the
known figures, these numbers are in billions.
The condition of India is even worse in this matter.
But the government's schemes like Ayushman Yojana,
Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhalaya are bringing
an epoch-making change. The commercialization of
medicine is the main reason for medical services not
being accessible to a large population and it being
expensive. Medicine is a field of selfless service,
but today the world's medical business is worth 178
billion US dollars. In India alone, this business is
worth 100 billion US dollars. Can't imagine that a
poor person will not be able to fit in these
figures. Expensive treatment of diseases is pushing
large population below the poverty line. If medical
services are not available to humans only, then what
will be the condition of animals?
AEWS is moving ahead with a special action
plan to make medical services universally
accessible.
